Mountain Biking

We have found that quite a few of the riders coming on our trail riding holidays have friends or partners that enjoy mountain biking and they have told us that they would have loved to join our trail rides on their bikes!

Many of the trails we use are suitable for mountain biking - provided you are fit enough - although some tougher routes might require that you get off and push/carry your bike on some sections! If you would like to accompany our rides on your mountain bike you will need to bring your own bike and safety wear. We can offer the same package as we offer our horse riders bringing their own horse - all meals and accommodation, luggage transfer and the guiding services of our ride leaders.

All of our horses are used to bikes, however sometimes guests bring their own horses on holiday and some might be a little nervous of bikes, but we have found that provided the bikes are in front initially, they get used to them within the first hour and then are quite happy to have the bikes either in front or behind. Please contact us for more information and prices.

There are also plenty of mountain bike trails around the local area for mountain bikers wanting something to do whilst their nearest and dearest are riding with us - there are trails in Morangie Forest at Tain, Bonar Bridge and Carbisdale and also the world class downhill trails at Highland Wildcat Trails Golspie.
